Am Wochenende 8.-10. November 2019 treffen sich Schüler aus den Klassen 8-12 um die Rolle von Diplomaten aus verschiedenen Ländern zu übernehmen und sich mit aktuellen Problemen der internationalen Gemeinschaft zu beschäftigen. Das diesjährige Thema heißt “Handel und Entwicklung im 21. Jahrhundert: Sind wir für die Zukunft vorbereitet?”. Die Konferenz besteht nicht nur aus vier Ausschüsse der UN-Generalversammlung aber auch aus den Gremien Internationaler Gerichtshof, UN Sicherheitsrat, Europäische Union, Gruppe der 20 und Jugendversammlung.

The 2nd Deutsche Schule Thessaloniki Model United Nations is around the corner!

The weekend 8-10 November 2019 junior high school and high school students will come into contact with the world of diplomacy in order to debate and find solutions to worldwide crucial issues. This year’s topic is “Trade and Development in the 21st century: Are we getting ready for the future?”. The conference will consist of four General Assembly Committees (Disarmament and International Security Committee; Economic and Financial Committee; Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee; Special Political and Decolonization Committee) as well as five specialized agencies (Security Council, Council of EU Ministers, Group of 20, International Court of Justice, Youth Assembly).
