MUN DST 2015 CONFERENCE

The opportunity of participating in an MUN conference is indeed something very special. However, thanks to our principals and the official MUN AG, the students of the 9th grade seized the chance and accepted the challenge of cooperating with one another, in order to discuss a topic of high importance: “Terrorism in the Middle East and Africa”.There was a lot of material we had to deal with and the work that had to be done wasn’t simple, but after all, things weren’t that difficult. With a little help from our chairs and from the admin staff we managed to achieve something really great in a short amount of time. We gained  plenty of self confidence by talking in front of a crowd and stating our country’s opinions , we learned a lot more about other countries’ cultures and policies, we became active members of a little community and started thinking critically and diplomatically, as if we were in a real UN conference. Furthermore, the sessions brought us closer to our classmates and gave us new, unusual and extremely good experiences, which will be remembered for a lifetime. Although we got a little tired, the well organized conference kept us motivated ‘till the end and we wished it would have lasted longer!
